The Player-Date is made out of 7-plies of the reowned mahogany coming from the “Gladstone Woods” (Kansas City, USA). C & C wanted to focus on one main objective: more wood, less glue. Because of that the thicker plys give a lower fundamental tone, which in turn gives a warmer sound. The Player Date Big Beat with its 14 × 22 bass drum, 8 × 13 rack tom, 15 × 16 floor tom and matching 6.5 × 14 snare drum presents itself as the perfect rock setup ranging from rock ‘n’ roll and punk rock to alternative rock over to indie and hard rock. Nevertheless a characteristic jazz tuning is also easily attainable because of the tremendous tuning range. The uniqueness of the in-house produced Gladstone Shells offers a warm vintage sound. Cymbals not included.

The shell design for the Canopus Neo Vinatge M1 is a result of analyzing the drum sound that dominated the jazz world in the 1960's. The shell construction consists of maple and poplar in 7 ply (for TT/FT) and 10 ply (for BD). In addition to using vintage bearing edges as a guide for our own unique design, they have adopted die-cast hoops as standard equipment on their floor toms and tom toms. The core of the drum sound comes to life in high pitched tuning, and totally eliminates the differences and instabilities that have traditionally hampered the sound of vintage instruments. Gold Sparkle Finish. Cymbals not included.

Rather than merely revisiting the sound that made us famous, Keystone Series has the distinction of a more focused tonality for the drummer seeking volume, attack and power. The Ludwig Keystone Shell begins with a 3-ply Maple core used in Ludwig’s Classic Maple drums, and is then augmented with 1/16” inner and outer plys of American Red Oak. Cymbals not included.

The Maple shells make for a versatile drum kit thanks to their wide frequency response and overall warm sounds. Each of the Natal Split Lacquer drums is fitted with a heavy-duty, die cast Natal badge, complete with Natal's Sun Logo. These drum badges are installed onto the shell and held by a rubber plinth which allows for optimum resonance.
