Pianos fill the streets of Granada

On September 20, the initiative “Your city is filled with pianos” was held in Granada

The event promoted by the Jesús Serra Foundation and the María Canals competition has allowed musicians to visit emblematic places in the city such as the Carlos V Palace, the San Nicolás viewpoint, La Plaza Nueva or the Bulevar de la Constitución, among others. Professionals and students, children or amateurs could access the pianos in these street stages.

The seven Call & Play pianos were the main stars: a Bösendorfer 290 Imperial, two Yamaha C3s, two Yamaha C7s, a Yamaha Baby Grand, and the jewel on Yamaha’s crown, the Yamaha CFIIIS grand-piano.

As Jordi Vivancos, director of the Maria Canals Contest, commented “the importance of this project through which we manage to bring music and piano to the whole of society, we can also make known and encourage the participation of the best talents in the country with the prestigious Maria Canals International Music Competition ”.
