Starmus, the Science and Music Festival in La Palma

Starting from Call & Play Málaga and tasked with delivering a Hammond B3 to musician Derek Shirinian of the Starmus All Star Band, we traveled to the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands and had the incredible opportunity to experience Starmus 2025, the world's most ambitious science and music festival.

Founded in 2011 by astrophysicist Garik Israelian and musician Brian May, its mission is to bring science, space, and the stars closer to the public, inspiring the next generation of scientists and explorers.

Starmus 2025, which took place from April 25th to 26th, brought together Nobel Prize laureates, space race heroes, and renowned scientists, such as primatologist Jane Goodall, for discussions on major current issues. It also featured exclusive musical performances by artists such as Brian May, Jean-Michel Jarre, and Hans Zimmer

During the festival, the Stephen Hawking Medal is awarded each year for the international dissemination of scientific knowledge through science, art, and film.
